Project Typhoon

Project Typhoon is a 30,000 square foot expansion to existing Firth Rixson Forging Facility. Project Included a 36-foot-deep excavation with a shoring and well-point dewatering system. 20,000 cubic yards were hauled and stockpiled off site and hauled back and compacted. Project included clearing, demolition, sanitary, storm and water system. Challenges included a high water table and keeping existing facility functional during construction.

“Storm Capture” precast underground detention system provides 52,560 cubic feet of underground storage for the Westside Heights Apartment project.

DETENTION

Storm Capture provides cost-effective solutions for site applications where stormwater needs to be detained and allowed to discharge at a controlled rate.

Westside Heights Apartments is a 212-unit Luxury Multi-Family Apartment Complex with state-of-the-art amenities including a Roof Top Pool. This unique complex is conveniently located on the cusped of Downtown Atlanta.

Eagle Excavation performed all the site work including erosion control, storm capture underground detention system, grading, storm, sewer and water system.

The Mariner Gove Apartments project included extensive modifications to the county roads and intersections adjacent to the project.

Quala Wash Facility

Quala’s facility boasts four technologically advanced and environmentally sound chemical cleaning bays, two sophisticated food grade wash bays, and four maintenance bays. More than 6,900 square feet of office space is available for lease, and 2,152 square feet is devoted to the truck drivers’ lounge, break room and rest rooms.

The vat-style wash system was built to Quala specifications. Boilers supply enough steam to handle up to 12 tanks at a time.

The Savannah location handles tank trailers and tank containers and has ample room for tank container storage.

Eagle’s construction challenges included the relocation of over 60,000 cy of buried wood chips and construction debris and replacement with imported select fill during an exceptionally rainy/wet year. Despite this challenge Eagle Excavation was able to bring this project in on schedule.

$10 million privately funded Ted Smith Family Football Center provides space for the essential functions of the Eagle Football program in one central location. The 50,000-sq. foot building, located between the east end zone and Lanier Drive, contains locker rooms, meeting spaces, coaches’ offices, a strength and conditioning center, athletic training facility and equipment room. In addition to serving as the day-to-day center for the team, the facility also includes a large Hall of Fame exhibit area that displays the program’s history and honor Georgia Southern legends. Eagle Excavation provided the site work for this challenging project.
