Project Typhoon is a 30,000 square foot expansion to existing Firth Rixson Forging Facility. Project Included a 36-foot-deep excavation with a shoring and well-point dewatering system. 20,000 cubic yards were hauled and stockpiled off site and hauled back and compacted. Project included clearing, demolition, sanitary, storm and water system. Challenges included a high water table and keeping existing facility functional during construction.
